Question by Shawn P: What is Best UPS Battery Backup for security surveillance cameras (computer)?
I am looking for good UPS Battery Backup for Security Surveillance Cameras (computer). The computer system will always stay on during thunderstorms (lightening). I do not stay at my workplace therefore shut down the computer during storms will be impossible & I do not have anybody to turn the computer system. It is important for me to find a good UPS Battery Backup.

I think the best thing you can do is to call a well known and reputable commerical security business and obtain their advice. I am sure, their answers will NOT be cheap. You probably have to have a fail safe security system, such as if one UPS fails another one starts up (fail safe system).

My car has been stolen outside my house but I’m not sure who stole it. My street is pretty small so I’m not sure if they have surveillance cameras out there. Can anyone help me answer this question? Thanks.

Question by Concerned Parent: Does my son’s daycare have to retain video footage from their surveillance cameras?
I’m evaluating several daycares for my son and the one that I really like told me that they don’t archive the video footage that they take from their surveillance cameras. I think that it’s great that they provide a way for me to check in on my son when I’m at work, but I’m worried that if something were to happen I wouldn’t be able get a ‘copy’ of the incident.

Are daycares required by law to keep archive footage from their cameras?

They are not required to archive them here in OR. In fact they do not even have to record them at all. I think it may depend on the state you are in.
